Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When did the MLLP begin?

A. April 1997

Q. Is the MLLP a registered charity?

A. Yes. In April 2004, the project received its official designation as a not for profit organisation in Canada. The Charitable Registration (CCRA) number is 86479 0209 RR0001

Q. Is the MLLP funded by the Canadian government?

A. To this point, no government funding has been received by the project. All funds received by the project have come from individuals, companies and a charitable foundation.

Q. When will the grave photos be available online?

A. This will take a long time to do unless some serious funding becomes available to hire staff to do this. If not, we will gradually add them as and when we can. As we are all volunteers in this project, life often gets in the way of completing this effort. Please be patient for this.

Q. I have a photo of a grave. Can I submit it?

A. Yes. However, if your photo is of one grave amongst many in a cemetery, chances are we already have the grave photograph. If we don’t, one of our volunteers will be going to that cemetery at some point and will have to photograph all of the graves anyway.

Q. Do you want a photo or a biography of the fallen soldier for his web page?

A. Yes please!. We wish to collect and archive photos and bios of as many soldiers, sailors, airmen and women of the forces as possible. In many cases, only one image of these people exists and it is most important that these images be scanned and archived for the benefit of future generations. If you have, or know of, any photos of identifiable persons, please let us know about them.
